MP backs biodiesel tax break project

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a campaign to keep tax breaks for companies who produce biodiesel.
Producers transforming cooking oil into biodiesel currently take advantage of a 20p differential however that is due to end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been meeting with the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George stated "a number of small organizations in Cornwall presently generate income from utilized cooking oil".
He included: "In order to have the ability to get this kind of industry going it does need just a little bit of lift which is available in the form of tax inevitable."
Biodiesel is a mix of standard diesel, rapeseed and veggie oils.
